Important Information for Team Members

Registration

  • Registration takes place on Thursday February 9th 2017 from 6 pm to 9 pm on the mezzanine of Bar le Cocktail, located at 1669 Ste-Catherine St. East, Montréal. At 9:30 pm, we invite you to stay for the best drag show in town.
  • Team members who cannot register at that time are required to register at the curling club before their first game. Please visit the registration table at the club.

Bonspiel rules

  • The first games are scheduled for Friday February 10th 2017 at 8:30 am at the Town of Mount Royal Curling Club, located at 5 Montgomery Ave., Town of Mount Royal.
  • Officials for both events will be at the club to answer questions and resolve issues during the bonspiel.
  • Curling Canada rules apply.
  • The draw to determine the hammer and choice of stones is done 15 minutes before your game. A member of each team must head to the draw table. If the representative from one of the teams is missing, the representative of the other team will decide.
  • All games are 8 ends. An extra end will serve as tiebreaker.
  • Attached are the CGCC and King’s Quest draw sheets.
  • You and your friends can keep track of the results online at Curling Les fous du roi.

Opening ceremony

  • The ceremony takes place on Friday February 10th 2017 from 7 pm to 7:30 pm at the curling club.
  • All CGCC and King’s Quest participants are invited. Please be at the club for 6:30 pm to get the ceremony going in a timely fashion. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
  • After the ceremony, we invite you to a wine reception on the second floor of the curling club where we will introduce our guests of honour and dignitaries.

Banquet

  • The banquet takes place on Saturday February 11th 2017 at 6:30 pm at John Molson Hall, located at 1670 Notre-Dame St. East, Montréal.
  • If you wish to bring a guest, you can purchase an additional ticket for $60. Tickets are on sale at the registration table Thursday evening only.
  • If someone on your team is vegetarian, please let us know at your earliest convenience by email at cclp.open@gmail.com.
  • The evening will continue at Bar le Stud, located at 1812 Ste-Catherine St. East, Montréal.

Finals

  • All finals take place on Sunday February 12th 2017 at 3:30 pm.
